Asheley Elizabeth is a contemporary artist, trained in Toronto, Canada (B.F.A. Hons.), with her studio based in Canterbury, New Zealand. Asheley works in an Organic/Abstract style, with innovative material combinations for both her wall sculpture & jewellery.
As always, her influence is taken from natures’ universal forms: from macro worlds to scientific discoveries, while often using her materials as metaphor of insights & experiences. Her wall sculptures typically include carved Native NZ woods that are accented with formed & carved acrylic.
Asheley aims to craft artwork that is unique, aesthetic & meaningful, with an environmental focus of reclaimed & repurposed materials.
Alongside her artworks, she creates large scale creative installations around New Zealand: with the intention of keeping people engaged with the impact of art in community.
