Briar Dann is an emerging artist living in Motukarara near Christchurch. When she left school, she trained as an occupational therapist which is the most creative health profession she could find. Her time is split equally between both her two passions - occupational therapy and art. 

She loves to use heavy texture mediums and palette knives to create her work. Inspired by the beauty of the small and sometimes unnoticeable things in nature, she aims to capture their significance in her pieces. Her work is both bright and rich, deep and playful. Provoking the heart to lightness and wonder- her aim is to add a spark of joy in each piece.
