Brighid Jamieson
Brighid lives in Wellington with her small family and far too many houseplants. Brighid has loved art and the creative process, since crayoning on the living room walls as a child… A few years ago, she finally stopped torturing her kids with arty-farty activities, quit her job, signed up to Art School, and let her inner child play. A lot.
Spending time immersed in the messy world of charcoal, paint and clay, Brighid has enjoyed exploring many a creative rabbithole, falling in love with experimentation, discovery, and the act of making. Through her often whimsical and humorous approach to art, she explores themes of being in and of community, and being in and of nature.
Brighid has won a tertiary arts scholarship and her work has been sold in galleries, art actions, and through collector commissions.
