Darren Wallace Art
Darren Wallace is a Manawatu self-taught artist who currently specializes in reflections. He is drawn to the way reflections can capture the essence of a scene, creating a sense of depth and often an abstraction of the reality. He is working on a series of New Zealand Landscape paintings featuring reflections in water. Other reflection paintings will include reflections in building windows and vehicle panels.
Darren’s fascination with reflections was inspired as a high school art student and his study of Escher drawings - reflections in globes, eyes, puddles.
Works for exhibition will range from small to large paintings on canvas.
He also loves creating works with colour pencil and pastel. There will be several framed pieces A4 or A3 in size to compliment the bigger works.
