Glen Turner
Glen is a self-taught Christchurch based artist that creates from his small home studio. His work is centred around breathing new life into otherwise discarded parts of nature.
He uses many different species of beautiful repurposed wood to create unique, one of a kind art works. The materials used are largely sourced from the local Canterbury region and come from a variety of origins such as post earthquake building demolition, home renovations, used furniture and remnants of other creative processes.
All of the wood used is painstakingly selected for its own unique qualities that add to the style and character of each design. His work is organically created with no prior drawing or sketch which allows him to freely create each piece without limitations.
