Joanna Meek
My name is Joanna Meek, I live in Auckland and I focus on realism through the medium of acrylic in my artworks.
My whole life I have had a love for the arts and have explored various artforms. However, over the last five years I have had the time to explore and concentrate on painting as I found this is my passion. During this period, I have learnt new skills and techniques which I have applied to my painting.
My inspiration comes from nature with its multitude of colours and forms. I like to explore with layers and colour creating a sense of depth and reality. In my paintings I embrace light, how it changes, reflects & creates shadows .
When I am not painting, I travel and gather new ideas from the beautiful scenery this world has to offer.
